Dr. Jessica Carden and her dog Diesel

Dr. Jessica Carden and her dog Diesel

I’m Dr. Jessica Carden, Revive Chiropractic’s founder.  As a third generation chiropractor, I offer you a unique perspective on healing, health, and wellness.  My purpose is to offer you an opportunity to reinvigorate and renew yourself so that you can function at your optimum level.  Patients here are practice members.  I extend to you the care that I want for my family.

The gentle type of chiropractic care that I offer can help brand new babies recover from the undeniable trauma of birth, and it helps pregnant moms meet their developing baby’s needs.  This care helps high level athletes achieve their goals, and it helps business people focus on solutions.  The chiropractic care offered here helps school children concentrate, and helps great grandparents play with their great grandkids without restrictions.  An ideal age for having the spine and nervous system checked is “brand new to a hundred and two”.

My grandfather, Dr. Victor Myers was taught by the developer of chiropractic, BJ Palmer.  When I was four years old, Grampy used Applied Kinesiology to demonstrate how ice cream was toxic to my body.  It was the biggest tragedy I had yet experienced!  As the middle of five kids, I always loved exploring and teaching.  I was embarking on a career in the classroom when I began an assignment in a special education class.  One student stood out – I discussed chiropractic with his parents, and as any parent would, they wanted to try anything that could help their child.  They began regular chiropractic care which included adjustments, dietary changes, home exercises, and nutritional supplementation.  Each day this little boy was improving in all areas of his life.  His parents were stunned when he began sleeping through the night – his mom couldn’t help but check on him frequently though.  He started conversing with strangers in the grocery store, and soon he began to tie his own shoes.  When he first played catch with his dad, there were tears of joy.  They were told that his previous testing must have been improperly assessed because they had never seen so much change in such little time.  Tell me, how could I not become a chiropractor?

The first day at Palmer, I met Jesse Carden, my husband.  He brought me here to Leelanau County to show me where he grew up, and it was clear that we would someday raise our family here.  We live on a small farm in the heart of the county where we enjoy working the soil.  It was essential for us to live close to where we want to play, and we love to play in the woods and on the beach with our dog, Diesel.  Our commitment to family care has driven us to take many post graduate courses in Chiropractic Pediatrics.  Jesse practices in Suttons Bay, and we coordinate care with mutual practice members depending upon individual needs.  At Revive Chiropractic, I want you to fully understand what is going on with your health and why.  It is essential that we address your concerns, and I take great pains to explain my treatments and your homework.  This is a two way conversation, so rule #1 is that if you have a question, you ask me right away!  You can email me, facebook me, tweet it, call me or send a homing pigeon!

We offer you an opportunity to reinvigorate your life by clearing the interference that has accumulated in your nervous system.  The obstacles to maximum expression of your life energy affect our health, our relationships, and our ability to pursue our goals in life.  Consider what occurs when we are distracted: we lose sight of what we meant to focus on.  If our brain cannot fully communicate its messages, it loses its focus.  I am focused on serving you so that you can serve your greatest purpose.  Thank you for the honor of allowing me to care for you and your whole family.
